Don't forget to get the button on the right sidebar. That's "A Woman Reading" by Monet, 1872.

  1. Huh, I think I'd like to do this, Judy. I miss my lil book club group from Minneapolis; it would be fun to be part of something again where I have assigned reading. I've read a bunch of these (the February and June selections, both Austens, Thackery and Tolstoy) but I can revisit them (I usually revisit Austen on my own anyway, every now and then)! And a bunch of these others have been on the "future reads" list for years. So, awesome!

  2. Great to have you abroad, Amanda! I hope you can suggest some titles, so the list has more variety. Something you haven't read and want to is certainly acceptable.

  3. I'm tempted to take your challenge. I think I may do one out of the two for the month. I don't get to read that much and the other half of my reading is usually faith based reading.
I've read quite a few of these too but they were ones I loved. Moll Flanders is intense.

  4. Hey Alicia! Join if and when you can. No pressure. Although I didn't elaborate, I think reading one of the two is what I was aiming for, and certainly if you have read both, then read sometime else. I guess for me it is more about the reading and whether or not you would recommend the book and why. Of course I might need to discuss too, but I'm not pushing. Whatever you feel comfortable with. I'm starting with Moll Flanders in September. So it's intense, eh?
