Happy Birthday Dear Silas

I was watching Si dream this morning. His foot would flex, then each finger would curl individually as if he was, well, typing. Since he is always my constant companion, this made me wonder if he was blogging in his dream.

I know when pets dream, humans think oh he's chasing a mouse or running away from a dog or something like that. Si has never chased a mouse though or met a dog. What he knows about mice is we had plenty of them in the old ranch house. I think he was their buddy. And what he knows about dogs is they bark, and that makes Si growl.

Today is his birthday and he is seven years old.
