Star River Haiku

When I was driving to work today, I was amazed at the beauty of autumn. The cottonwoods along the river were turning the beautiful shades of yellow, orange and brown. The hills of vineyards were that deep red color of harvest and the grand canopies of green oaks speckled in the brown hills.

It was so peaceful driving along the old country road seeing everything so new. The experience reminded me of meditation; how real real can be.

I am here alone
High in the place I was meant
To see bugs on road.

I missed every one of them too. I have a "no kill" policy if I can help it.
